I was on my Zwift ride this morning and happen to bump into Richie Porte and Wout Poels, like you do!

Another 8 people, yesterday evening. Main things to note. Rob now has a tron bike and Jon G was on fire. another 1 hr ride on Thursday at 7pm.

1hour steady this evening, starting at 7pm. Might do a race afterwards.

A 2 hour ride, this morning. Started with 9 of us, and 4 left by the end of the ride.

Because demand is so high, Zwift are opening up a third guest route, over the coming days. They are therefore advising you to be in the game at least 15minutes before a time critical event, eg a meet-up, race etc, in case it does its update then.

There’s a lot of help on Youtube etc. Here is an article on the Zwift website about meetups https://zwift.com/news/19189-zwift-how-to-ride-with-friends worth noting that if you miss the start, you cannot join the meet-up, so as per point 1 above, make sure that you are in the game well beforehand.

nice write-up Gavin. Thise bumps seem to be getting worse, and the thought of riding the 100 and 12 hour on that same road in a month’s time is starting to fill me with dread. It was a really filthy day, yesterday, with the wind strengthening throughout the event and it was really cold. One of the start marshals took pity on me and gave me a jacket to wear as I waited, because i had got down to the start far too early. It took me a good 20 minutes to get warmed up on the road, and even then I was never really comfortable. It was however, still an excellent event; very well organised, a great field and damn fine bacon rolls. Fab to have a good group of Phoenix riders out, riding an Open, even though it’s not a counting event for the Club Champs.

Jake, Sarah has had to cancel her ride as she is injured. could you reinstate your club ride?

Hi Jake, Think there's 6 of us IIRC, but I think it might be better to join Sarah's ride out to The Milk Churn, which she's posted on Strava. Would be good to get a couple of road groups out for that.
